The Artisan-built Home
A house is more than a shelter; it’s a part of your identity and a relaxing retreat. Your living environment makes a statement to the world about your tastes and priorities, and it has a profound impact on your mood, your health and your general enjoyment of life.
If you desire fine craftsmanship, you require a builder who intricately understands the art and application of architecture, as well as the fundamentals of interior and landscape design. Through active listening and creative problem-solving, we can orchestrate the entire process, coordinating all parties to ensure proper execution and the highest level of integrity.
And because we see a home as more than the sum of its materials, we are very flexible and accommodating about modifications during the construction process. We are delighted to help you in exploring the options, with the goal of hearing you say: “This is exactly what I wanted.”
Changing Views
Whether building a new home or renovating an existing residence, we apply the same exacting standards and the same meticulous care throughout the process. Previous clients naturally come to us when they wish to remodel. New clients requesting anything from a minor facelift to a major reconstruction find their way to The Farlow Group, often by referral from a friend. Some homeowners buy a property simply for the views or location and wish to completely renovate the existing structure, making it their own. And in cases where they buy to tear down and rebuild, we work with the homeowner and their design professional to maximize the home's advantages on the given site.
A Personal Touch
The Farlow Group is well versed in the construction of many architectural styles and we have built homes on a wide variety of home sites, some with significant construction challenges. For each project, we carefully examine the optimal building practices, procure and use the finest materials, and thoroughly consider the climate and its potential effect on the structure. We have a great deal of experience building multi-million dollar homes, which we believe speaks to the level of our craftsmanship, yet owners with more modest homes find us affordable, especially once they consider the benefit of superior craftsmanship over the life of the home. Construction that is not completed correctly initially will certainly cost the owner more in the long run.
